A.D. Ansell, M. D.:
Dear Sir—Having examined the princi-
ples upon which your Brilliant Lenses are
constructed, I consider them perfect on the
principles of opthalmic science. The fact
that they are achromatic and being tempered
makes them what the public have long
wanted, a perfect optical instrument. I can
say for myself that the pair you selected for
me are better adapted to my vision than any
I have ever used. Yours truly,

, Dr. A. D. Ansell, Optician:
My Dear Sir—It is with the greatest sat-
isfaction that I am enabled to express to you
my thanks for my greatly improved sight.
The spectacles I received from you now ena-
bles me to read small print for two or three
hours at night without causing any pain or
lachrymal effusion. This is the first time for
three or four years that this pleasure has
been enjoyed without suffering. I am thor-
oughly convinced that the true principle of
vision is obtained by your system. The
lenses being perfectly achromatic, and the
concavity and convexity being centered and
immediately opposite each other, is the true
principle upon which your success is estab-
lished. Very truly j ours,

6 p,m.
I would advise all who are suffering from
defective vision to call early, so that their
ca-esmay have the full benefit of my sojourn.
In regard to my success in the treatment of
diseases of the eye and the perfectness of
thespectac es which I adapt to my patients.
I simply refer to a tew of the many thousand
testimonials from the best medical faculty in
the United States and from those who have
been cured by my treatment, during twenty-
hree years constant practice.
In Regard, to Spectacles,
I would say. that an average of ninety per
cent, of those who use them have their eyes
ruined by being imperfectly fitted, as a thor-
ough knowledge of the anatomy and physi-
ology of the eyes is absolutely necessary to
adapt spectacles with exactitude, and when
peri ctly suited with a perfect article, a pair
will last a great many years without change
being nece-sary. The lexses I use are per-
le tly achromatic, are tempered in frozen
oil, which makes them as hard as the peb-
bles. The frames are also made of a steel
which does not rust—being in fact a perfect
optical instrument, as the following letters
will prove to the most skeptical:
From the Dean of the Faculty :
Galveston, March 21,1876.
I have examined your glasses, and find
them perfectly achromatic, and recommend
them to persons needing glasses.
. WM. PENNY, M. D.
To Dr. A.D. Ansell.
Galveston, March 13,1876.
Dr. A. D. Hansell:
DEAR Sir—It affords me pleasure to ex-
press to you the satisfaction which I receive
in using your glasses. I have suffered for
years from a great diminution of the accom-
modation function of the eye, which causes
me to use two sets of lenses of different refrac-
tive power. I am very certain that the lenses
are mannfactured upon true principles of
optics, are perfectly acromatic, and subvers-
ad the purposes of functional defective vis-
ion, and I am convinced that they will meet
with the high appreciation which they merit.
