Mr. Beavers had . worn his
beard trimmed close.
As a result, the flowing white
beard extended half way to his
waist, and combined with the
youthful twinkle- im his eye to
lend to his features a striking
resemblance to the patron
saint of Christmas.
Now, however, the beard has
vanished before the razor, a
concession to the sultry heat
of midsummer.
In these times so luxuriant
