the Rose Dale Cemetery at Loa
Angeles, Calif. . .
Mr Scherbel, a former resi-
dent of Navasota, died Friday,
July* 11, at 11 a.m.
.He was born at Alsaac L.o,
taine, France, Oct.’ 15, 1870. , 1
He came to Navasota from
Hearne in 1913 and entered the
grocery and bakery business: He
later opetated a cafe here. In
1928 he moved to Houston with
his son, Phillip, and from there
moved to California to-make ,his
