In a brisk business session
at the school auditorium con-
ference room here Tuesday-
night, the Navasota School
Board made quick work of at
least 12 items on the rather
lengthy agenda.
Supt. John C. Webb an-
nounced that he was proceed-
ing with identifying 12 motor
vehicles operated by the
school. He said that $189
worth of decals would be
enough to do the job for sev-
eral years. Each decal is
guaranteed for two years and
has an average -life of ten
years.
Each decal will carry this
wording "Navasota I. S. D.”
along with the numeral as-
signed to that particular car,
bus or truck.

that the school this week

Little League Fence
After a lengthy discussion
board members voted to look
into the cost of a new Lit-
tle League fence. Mr. Webb
and John Binford, both of
whom are members of the
Little League board, said that
some" Little League officials
were of the opinion that re-
placing the fence was a school
responsibility.
Several years ago the
school, to create a football
practice field, agreed to cut
the fence up in sections and
to maintain the fence in ex-
change for the privilege of
taking It up the end of each
Little League season.
Now that the fence is bey-
ond use, there is some ques-
tion as to who should pay the
bill and do the work.
Best estimates are that a
new. fence will cost a mini-
mum of $500 and possibly
more.
