George Dowell, as chairman in

period of enlisting in the present war.
He said that the poilus of Frane had
a saying that the "army will win if
the civilians can hold out." In the
light of all past history, he said Texas
would last, because the civilians would
hold out.

If you combined the curative proper-
lie. of every known "ready made cough
remedy, you would hardly have in them
all te surative power that lies in this
simple "home made” cough syrup which
takes only a few minutes to prepare.
Get from any druggist 2% ounces of
Pinex (80 cents worth), pour it into a
pint bottle and fill the bottle with plain
granulated sugar syrup. The total cos
is about 65 cents and gives you a full
pint of really better cough syrup than
you could buy ready-made for $2,50,
Testes pleasant and never spoils.
This Pinex and sugar syrup prepare,
tion geta right at the cause of a cough
and gives almost immediate relief. It
loosens the phlegm, stops the naety
throat tickle and heals the sore, irri-
tated membranes that line the throat,
chest and bronchial tubes, so gently
and easily that it is really nstonfshing.
A day’s use will usually overcome the
ordinary cough and for bronchitis,
croup, whooping cough and bronchia
asthma, there is nothing better.
Pinex is a most valuable concentrated
compound of genuine Norway pine ex-
tract, and has been used for generations
to break up severe coughs.
To avoid disappointment, be sure to
ask your druggist for "2% ounces of
Pinex'' with full directions, and don't

‘For six years I suffered with ca-
tarrh of the stomach, indigestion, sour-
ness, gases, headaches, and sometimes
felt as though my stomach was being
eaten up. I decided to try STUMEZE.
In two days i was feeling relieved of
my suffering. I now have a good ap-
