Count the number of internationals you
see next time you’re on the highway.
Why? Because you’ll learn this very simple
truth: professionals in the hauling business
use more heavy-duty Internationals than
any other make truck.
The reason they do is that Internationals
give them lower operating and maintenance
costs, longer truck life. Why not come in and
let us show you how we can give you these
truck values on your job?

Austin is finding the climbing
slow in the Big State league but
the Pioneers are getting the job
done. And if the weather could
cooperate all the time like it did
yesterday they’d make it with-
in a week.
Austin and Texarkana played
the only game in the league yes-
terday with Austin winning 5-4.
Austin is now a game and a half
out of the first division.
Wichita Falls at first-place
Tyler, second-place Longview at
Temple and Paris at Waco were
rained out.
Al Rehm was again the Austin
hero. Fur the second straight
time he produced the punch in
the last of the ninth that brought
victory. He doubled home both
the tying and winning runs. He
had done the same thing Sat-
urday night in furnishing Austin
a 4-3 margin.

Shreveport’s Sports are doing
a lot of playing without deciding
anything.. Twice in a row they
have battled to a tie and haven’t
gained an inch in the Texas
league race.
They’re in fourth place, three
games back of leading Beaumont,
today. .
Yesterday rain, washed out all
games except Shreveport’s and
it was a 2-2 tie with Beaumont.
They had to call it off after nine
innings because the lowering
clouds made it too dark to play
further. Saturday night Shreve-
port and San Antonio played to
a 4-4 tie.
Oklahoma City at Fort Worth,
Tulsa at Dallas and San Anto-
nio at Houston were postponed
because of downpours..
ITrme runs figured in the
। Shreveport-Beaumont tie. Jim
Greengrass hit one for Beaumont
and Bud Lively parked the ball
for the Sports. Lively also pitch-
ed five-bit ball.
There will be two double-
headers tonight as the clubs try
to catch up. Tulsa and Dallas play
two at Dallas and Shreveport
and Beaumont a twin-bill at
Beaumont.. Houston will be at
San Antonio and Oklahoma City
at Fort Worth for single games.
