HARPER. Texas, Oct. 26.—Albert
Billings of Harper, age 29 years, died
In the Kerrville sanitarium Sunday
night while undergoing an operation
for appendicitis. He was buried by
the W. O. W. of Harper on Monday
afternoon in the Harper cemetery. He
leaves his widow, infant daughter,
aged mother, four brothers and two
sisters.

record on which is based an appli-
cation for an issue of 370,000 bonds
of Liberty county drainage district No.
2, the money to be expended to re-
claim a large area from standing
water.
Valley improvement association, will
be among the speakers at a luncheon
to be given at the St. Anthony hotel.
Oct. 21, under the auspices of the
Chamber of Commerce, the Manufac-
turers’ club and other organizations
for the discussion of statewide recla-
mation.
This meeting, following upon the re-
cent visit of United States Senator
Morris Sheppard, during which the
subject of flood control as affecting
the San Antonio river, was discussed,
adds to the interest that is now being
taken In this important matter and
win result in the selection of repre-
sentatives from this city to the meet-
ing to be held at Waco on Nov 16
for the organisation of a statewide
reclamation association.
