There is much complaint among the people that the LAW AGAINST THE ILLEGAL OPERA-
TION OF* SLOT MACHINES Is NOT PROPERLY ENFORCED IN GAINESVILLE. What the facts
are I do nut know. Ask the Pa rent-Teacher Association’s Committee. I do know that I have been
asked by many citizens and particularly by mothers of school children in Gainesville whether, as
(Ol NTY ATTORNEY, I would enforce thelawagainst illegal SLOT MACHINES. In answer to those
inquiries, I take this method of publicly saying that, if elected your COUNTY ATTORNEY, I will see
that the law against illegal slot machines is strictly enforced, and I will give -vigorous prosecution to
all such v iolations. Illegal slot machines are the worst type of gambling device. I am informed that
school children often play these machines and on them lose the money they need for food. This thing
should be stopped. The school children should be saved from this menace. School teachers have been
complaining of this thing also. Make your own inve itigation and inquiry.
, Ejecting a County Attorney is a business proposition. By your vote you are simply hiring a law-
yer for two years to represent the people of the County in the Courts. Why not VOTE FOR YOUR
OWN INTEREST AND GET THE BESr MAN?
I shall greatly appreciate your VOTE and yur SUPPORT FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY. If I
have not given you a card it is because I have not had the time to see you. Please take this state-
meat as a personal talk to you. Thank you
