spinning since she was 8 years
old. Other visitors of Mrs. Nevils
over the week-end were her
children, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur

Dallas on a nice vacation trip
which took them to the Ozarks

Five Sets of Twins
Set Local Record
Administrator W. S. Nichols of
the McKinney City-County Hos-
pital believes that some sort of
record has been set the past few4B
weeks in the matter of the num-
ber of twins to be born at the
hospital. Since July 19 five sets
of twins have arrived at City-
County. Mr. Nichols says the
number definitely sets record for
the McKinney Hospital.

week-end traffic mishaps, three
in McKinney and the other north
of Anna.
A truck-pick-up collision at
the intersection of U. S. High-
way 75 and Virginia Street Sat-
urday noon involved vehicles
driven by Ervin Pearson of Rt.
1, Carrollton. and Emmett Drom-
goole of McKinney.
Sunday evening, . cars driven
by Lawrence Streaiu of Houston
and Max Lee Haning of Allen
collided on Highway 75 near
Jefferson Street.
The same evening a car driven
by Wilton E. Hood of McKinney
and a pick-up truck driven by
James A. Stewart were involved
in a mishap at Virginia and Ten-
nessee Streets.
State Highway Patrolman Dan
Nowlin investigated a collision
three miles north of Anna late
Saturday night when an auto-
mobile driven by Miss Janelle
Delores Lawrence of Rt. 1,
Anna, and a pick-up driven by J.
W. Loftice of Rt. 2, Anna, col-
lided.. Considerable damage re-
sulted, Patrolman Nowlin said.

Report Quiet Week-End
Activities of the McKinney
Police Department and of Sher-
iff Floyd Williams’ office the
past week-end were described as
“routine” by Chief Jack Pike
and Deputy Sheriff Fred Barnes
as only a total of seven arrests
were reported, six of which were
for drunkenness.
City police made five “drunk”
arrests Saturday and Sunday
while deputy sheriffs picked up
one for drunkenness at Cope-
ville and arrested a prowler at
Josephine. . #
