Swenson, chairmao of its board of
directors it was broadeasted from the
chamber of commerce ' headquarters
here today upon receipt of a letter
from Mr. Swenson addressed to the as-
sistant manager of the West Texas
body, who baa established office here.
Mr. Swenson is a native of Texas, and
hit work for thia state cannot be esti-
mated, and his office at 61 Broadway,
is a clearing house tor information
for eastern capital. It is conceeded
that the offices of the Swensen Broth-
ers have more information concern-
ing Texas than any other office In the
great metropois
Mr. Swenson, besides the prominent
banking position which he holds, lab
director of the Southern racine Rail-
way, president of Freeport Sulphur
Company at Preport, and the allied
interests of this great comnany, and
ia the directing head of the Swenson
Brothers land and cattle interests in

Chamber of Commerce Convention, is

great convention. Mr. Wade is keep-
tag in close touch with every part ot
Central Weat Texas, and West Texas
and knows exactly what the differ-
ent commercial ofganizations are go-
ing to do or what they have dona in
regard to attending the coming con-
vention at Brownwood and helping
make it record breakr is every
sense of the word His opinion at
present is that it is going to be the
greatest industrial gatheting ever
seen in the entire South, snd here
every class ot industry is going to
be represented by lgaders who are
1 outetanding to characier
Moat of the men who are,coming
here are builders in a big and strik-
ing way and their preseaco in Brown-
wood will tend an atmoaphera that
will be cgatagiqus and inspiring. It
does any locallty test lag stood to have
such men as thin come tq them, get
acquainted, shake hanls, and talk
with them over matters that are of
mutual and •itat interest. It will be a
big bunch of his men who will attend
the Weak Teana Chamber of Cona-
merce Convention. and Homer D.
Wade to losing no time in seeing that
the entire machinery of the eonven-
ton program, so far aa it applles,to
ths convention to general, is moving
along smoothly toward a great and
satistactory enlmination. As Mr.
Wade stated on coming to Brown-
wood ha is one at the people, dmdres
tn be recognized as such, and to ready
and glad at any time to have the ad-
vantage of any suggestions that might
be offered to make the convention
