Gorman tract, to its southwest corner about 125 yards east of the
Winnsboro Hawkins public road; thence west to said Hawkins road;
thence across and along said road west to the northeast corner of the
Mrs. M. J. Davis tract; thence west with her north boundary line,
the same being the south boundary line of the J. T. Browning tract
to the northwest corner of the said Mirs. Davis place, the same being
the southwest corner of the J. I. Browning place; thence southwest
with Mrs. M. J. Davis' west boundary line to the southeast corner
of J. C. Clinton tract; thence west along the south boundary line of
the J. C. Clinton tract on across the Winnsboro and Quitman public
road to his southwest corner; thence north along his west boundary
line to his northwest corner on the south boundary line of the Frank
P. Kelly tract; thence west along the south boundary line of said
Kelly tract to his southwest corner; thence northerly along the west
boundary line of said Frank T. Kelly tract to his northwest corner
thence westerly along Walter Coat's south boundary line to his southwest
corner; thence northerly along Coats', Hill's, Mim's and J. I.
Browning's lines, respectively, to J. I. Browning's northwest corner;
thence east along Browning's north boundary line to intersection
Winnsboro and Webster public road; thence across and along said
road north across J. A. Browning's land to the southwest corner of
the John B. Alvis tract; thence north on the west boundary line of
the said Alvis tract; thence with the Winnsboro and Pleasant Grove
road and on with the west boundary line of the Williams tract to the
Wood County line; thence east with said line, southeast corner of
Hopkins County, the same being the southwest corner of Franklin
County; thence north with west boundary line of Franklin County to
the northwest corner of E. C. Mitchel's tract of land; thence east
along the north boundary line of E. C. M1itchel's and H. J. Mitchel's
land to the northeast corner of H. J. Mitchel's land; thence south
with H. J. Mitchel's and M. D. Carlock's east boundary line to the
northwest corner of 98.8 acre tract; thence along H. J. Mitchel's
north boundary line to P. H. Huckaby's southwest corner; thence
north on Huekaby's west boundary line to northwest corner; thence
east on Huckaby's north boundary line to northeast corner of Huckaby
's tract; thence south on east boundary line of Mosely survey to
R. C. Campbell northeast corner; thence east on A. M. Shirley north
boundary line to northeast corner of A. M. Shirley tract; thence
south on A. M. Shirley's east boundary line to southeast corner of said
tract; thence west on A. M. Shirley's south boundary line to southwest
corner of said Shirley's tract; thence south on R. C. Campbell's
east boundary line to Winnsboro and Mt. Pleasant public road; thence
with that meanderings with said public road to the place of beginning,
containing about 13 square miles of territory in Wood and
Franklin counties.
