Eugene “Geno" Moretti, age
68 of Corpus Christi died on
Wednesday, May 7,2008 after a
courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Dec. 9, 1939

Carrie Beth Larson and David Alan Kilpatrick were
united in marriage on Feb. 17, 2008 on the croquet lawn of
the Parker Palm Springs, in Palm Springs, Calif, with Rev.
Glyn Norman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jo Beth Larson of Seguin
and Stephen Larson of San Antonio. She is the granddaugh-
ter of Dorothy Mgebroff of Yoakum and the late Dr. A. E.
Mgebroff, and Betty Mullins of San Antonio and the late
Dr. J. F. Mullins.
The groom is the son of Bruce and Margaret Kilpatrick of
Austin and Bonnie Kilpatrick of Belton. He is the grandson
of Nellie Borner of Killeen and the late Maurice Bomer, and
Jimmie and Bernice Kilpatrick of Salado.
The maids of honor were Sara Larson of Lubbock and
Amy Larson of Seguin, both sisters of the bride.
The best man was Dr. Shane Isdale of Killeen, friend of
the groom. Groomsmen were Jason Kilpatrick and Chuck
Stephens of Austin, both brothers of the groom.
Ushers were Darrin Jensen of Austin, friend of the groom,
and Ian Mgebroff of Ft. Worth, cousin of the bride.
Andromeda String Quartet provided ceremony and cock-
tail reception music.
Following the ceremony, a cocktail reception and din-
ner were held on the lavish grounds of The Parker Palm
Springs.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Seguin High School and
a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She
received a Master’s of Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute
of Art in London in 2006. She is employed at Galerie Michael
in Beverly Hills, Calif, as Curator.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Killeen High School and
a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School
of Architecture. He is employed as a project manager for
Laidlaw-Schultz Architects in Corona del Mar, Calif.
Following a wedding trip to the Golfo Duke in Costa Rica,
the couple now resides in San Pedro, Calif
Stevens Resident Crowned Queen
Mrs. Marie Holster of Stevens Health Care & Rehab Center com-
peted in the Mid-Coastal Chapter of Activity Directors 3lM Annual
Queen’s Pageant on Tuesday, April 22. She took first place against
six other nursing home queens from Cuero, Victoria and Edna. Mrs.
Holster is pictured with Joy Grissom of Southbrook Manor in Edna
(2nd place), Gladys Huchhorn from Whispering Oaks in Cuero (3rd
place), judges end Gary Moses emcee.

Frank, Koliba Plan July Wedding
Johnny and Gwen Koliba of Woodsboro announce the engagement
and approaching marriage of their daughter, Carrie Koliba to Pat-
rick Frank, both of Yoakum. Patrick is the son of Roger and Carolyn
Frank ofYoakum. The weddingis planned for Saturday, July 12,2008,
at the First United Methodist Church in Refugio. Carrie is a 1994
graduate of Woodsboro High School. She received her Bachelor of
Science Degree in Kinesiology in 1999 from Texas A&M University
at Kingsville. She is currently employed as the Athletic Trainer for
Yoakum ISD. Patrick is a 1986 graduate of Yoakum High School.
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1992 from the
University of Houston at Victoria. In 2002, he received his Master of
Education from the University of Houston at Victoria. He is currently
the assistanat principal at Yoakum High School.

Aubrie was a wonderful
friend to all. She was a “girl’s”
girl. She loved her long dan-
gling ear rings and everything
pink except on Friday nights
when she only wore Green.
She loved her family and al-
ways wanted to attend every
family event, she will always
be remembered for her long
flowing hair and her ability
to make everyone around her
smile and her addictive laugh.
Aubrie will be missed by all.
Visitation was held on
Thursday at Freund Funeral
Home in Cuero. The funeral
services took place on Friday,
at First Baptist Church with
Rev. Dr. Glenn Robertson of-
ficiating. Interment followed
at Hillside Cemetery.
