The Presbytery of Austin will meet
Wednesday night at the First Presby-
terian Church to take action upon the
petition of Dr. Arthur F. Bishop for
dissolution of the pastoral relation ex-
isting between him and th Austin
Church, He goes within a few days
to Portland Ore. to become pastor of
the Central Presbyterian Church.
The Presbytery will also fill va-
cancies caused by the removal of Dr.
Bshop from the Presbytery. It will
elect a chairman of the board of
trustees of the Presbytery a chairman
of the home mission committee and
will transact other business relating to
home missions.
A devotional service will be con-
ducted by Rev. William E. Copeland of
Rockdale, stated clerk of the Presby-

PRNCIETON, N. J. Oct. 11.—Popu-
lar use of the term "highbrow" to ex-
press scorn, of intellectual things is
condemned by President John G. Hib-
ben of Princeton University.
"This term is not used merely to
express contempt for pedantry or intel-
lectual pharasaism," said Dr. Hibben in
hie address to the students at the open-
ing of the university yesterday. "If
this were the case," he added, "I would
not quarrel with those who might thus
use it This term is generally em-
ployed as a weapon of emasculated
minds, which are content to range
along the dead level of the trivial and
the commonplace."

Mr. Ramsay, the music director, is
much more than a chorister. He is at
home on the platform and a master of
assemblies. He is gifted in prayer and
exhortation, and can preach with pow-
er. though not an ordained minister.
He is a born humorist and altogether
an unique character. It has often been
remarked that God made but one Ram-
say. He always keeps the audiences
guezsing during the first few services

of Ramsay's stunts stumped him till he
saw the Lord was using him to accom-
plish great results, and then he yielded
his judgment to that of the Lord, and
just let Ramsay have his' way. It was
just as well, for he would have it any-
