Carthage PTA President Marie
Denniston says winter has visited
the area and hopefully the worst of
it is over.
"Now we are wishing for spring,
along with its gardens and flower
bed work." said Mrs. Denniston.
"But spring also brings great ex-
pectations for seniors in looking
toward their future."
But, Mrs. Denniston points out,
for some seniors. their ex-
pectations cannot be fulfilled If
they do not receive a scholarship.
"So, PTA has brought together
the spring planting and the need
for scholarships in a unique
program this year," said Mrs. Den-
niston "On Saturday. April 7. from
9 a.m. until 4 p.m., the PTA is
having a plant sale on the square."
Mrs. Denniston pointed out that
all proceeds from the sale will go
toward scholarships for deserving
seniors
"I urge everyone to help a child's
education BIOOM by buying a PTA
plant on April 7," concluded Mrs.
Denniston.
