PET OF THE WEEK
This stunning white Shepherd/Lab cross with the
most beautiful eyes is Keegan.. He is one of those
rare finds in a larger dog, so sweet, friendly but not
overly so - not as “in your face, jumping all over
you or your kids” friendly. Actually he is really calm
almost demure. He is young, no more than two years
- closer to one actually, just the right age to grow up
with your family. He likes kids and is great on a leash
too!
Adoption fee $70.00 and includes vouchers for a
rabies vaccination and sterilization.

Representing the City Union of King’s Daughters
(1 to r) Lorna, Tina, Marilyn, Pam, Jean, Pam and
Pat. They delivered meals and Valentine’s to Meals-on-
Wheels’ clients in Cleburne on February 14.
Meals-on-Wheels’ clients in Cleburne received a special treat
on Valentine’s Day. The City Union of King’s Daughters
sponsored all of the meals served in Cleburne that day as well
as provided a Valentine card for each person on the delivery
route.
King’s Daughters Circles and Meals-on-Wheels have
partnered for many years to help local seniors. Many Circles
have delivered meals for more than thirty years and have
supported Meals-on-Wheels financially.
“We (Meals-on-Wheels) are blessed by the long-time support
given to us by King’s Daughters Circles,” said Whitney
Patterson, Director of Special Gifts. “And for them to
step forward and sponsor all of the meals in Cleburne on
Valentine’s Day was truly a gift of love!”
The International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons
is an international and interdenominational organization of
Christian men and women dedicated to service in Christ’s
name. The Cleburne Union is the largest chapter in Texas.
The Cleburne Union’s gift was the first gift received for
Meals-on-Wheels’ annual March for Meals campaign.
Sponsorships for March for Meals are still available at many
levels, ranging from $200 to $5,000 with exclusive publicity
opportunities for top sponsors. During March for Meals, the
national campaign to end senior hunger, meal programs across
the nation take part in efforts to encourage local participation
such as donating or volunteering.
For more information on this event and how to be a part
of March for Meals, please contact the office at 817-
558-2840 or 972-351-9943 or visit the website at www.
