I Like To Trade In Rusk Because...
'Economy, Friendliness, Loyalty'
THE RUSK STORY ...
"I like to trade in Rusk because these people are ir.y friends and
this is my home town." That is a statement representative of scores
of others received from people who have entered the "Mystery Men" j
contest on this page.
They have given dozens of good reasons why they like to trade in
Rusk. But the roost frequent are friendliness, economy and loyalty to
their home town.
Perhaps the greatest tribute being paid our business section by
these people is their obv: us appreciation of being appreciated. They
continually register their pleasure at having merchants and salespeo-
ple giving them "personal" service. " greet them by name and talk
w;th them a.~ neighbors—things the;, can't buy and things they can
get no where else.
Nor are these people '.rdifferent to the basic economic va!ue of
local patronage Said one "We are helping to build our home town."
Another: "It afford? convergent empi .yrnent for members of our fam-
ilies."
And these statements all have th* nr.g of sincerity, like the one,
for example, that states stoutly. I r. ..-o rny mine)1 m Ru:k. I like to
spend it here."
This kind of loyalty and confidence, plus a realization of the value
of their trade, expressed by this cross secto r, of this area".- citnenry
should be a comfort to all its citarais and especially to the conscien-
tious businessman and merchant.
