The doctors have joined in re-
commending the filma as aids inj
early detection of cancer, and in
many instances have resulted in
saving lives.
The two films are scheduled to,
be shown in the Rude State Hos-
pital Chapel building. Times are:
1:00 and 2:15 on Friday afternoon
and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday
The showings are sponsored by
the Cherokee County chapter of
the American Cancer Society and
were produced by the Society.
Mrs. E. M. Decker, education
chairman of the chapter, has
urged all women of Rusk to ar-
range to see one of the showings

"For many women, indifference
at this time may prove fatal." she

Statements from Rusk's doetors
extolled the cancer films and
themselves pointed out the worth
of the practice of self examination
and early detection of cancer.
Dr. Floyd Brigham said:
The films are very worthwhile.
They can be instrumental in sav-
ing lives. Consequently, I would
urge every woman who can to take
advantage of this opportunity to
help herself.
Dr. W. E. Gabbert remarked:
Any measure that will aid in the
early detection of cancer is valu-
able. These authentic films should
be recommended to the public for
the assistance they will give in
conbatting this major health men-
ace—cancer.
Dr. J. M. Kreimeyer, president
of the Cherokee County Medical
Society, stated:

are both informative and interest-

Dr. T. H. Cobble endorsed the
films and the principle of self-
examination, noting the benefits
of detecting cancer in its early
stages. The films will also point
out what cancer undetected would
lead to, Dr. Cobble stated
