Beta Sigma Phi met Monday
evening, March 5 at the home
of Mrs. Charlotte Moehlman.
The meeting was called to
order by the president, Mary
Holcomb.
Several items of business
were talked. Mrs. Blrda Par-
ker was designated to write
a note of congratulations to
the Founder of Beta Sigma
Phi, Walter W„ Ross on the
35th anniversary of the soro-
rity*
A social is calendared for
March 17 at the home of
Mrs. Dorothy Grasty.
Mrs. Holcomb is to meet
with other city chapters to
discuss the scholarship to
be awarded a Rusk High Sch-
ool Senior.
Plans were also talked con-
cerning the Founders Day
Banquet.
The sorority made plans for
a bake sale to be held at
8;30 a.m. in front of Mac's
Pharmacy on March 12. The
public is invited to attend.
Jessie Matthews, Alva Joy
Jones and Mary Holcomb met
with Mrs. Thelma Jones ab-
out submitting the proposed
All Faiths Chapel at Rusk
State Hospital as a state pro-
ject. Materials will be mail-
ed to the State committee
the end of this week.
A garage sale is calendar-
ed for the first of April.
The next meeting will be at
the home of Mrs. Holcomb
with the program being pre-
sented by her.
Refreshments of pecan pie
and Cokes were served by the
hostess.

asty, Ruby Nell Townley, Jo-
nes, Matthews, Holcomb, and
