Picnic Wednesday
The Garden Therapy Comm-
ittee of the Rusk Garden host-
ed a picnic and nature walk at
Jim Hogg State Park for Its
regular monthly meeting with
the Iris Garden Club of the
Rusk State Hospital on Wedne-
sday, May 24, 1967. The Iris
C ub composed of patients at
the hospital were conducted on
a picnic 'unch of fried chicken,
deviled eggs.potatosalad.be-
ans, pickles, cake, punch and
candy.

of Ruik. has ordered that the
herelnbelow mentioned desc-
ribed portions of U. S. High-
way No. 84. in the City of Rusk
be improved by installing the-
reon concrete curbs and gutt-
ers on the property line and
grade, where shown on the pl-
ans, and in accordance with
plans and specifications for
the improvement to be made
by the State of Texas; and a

Commission of the State of

certain concrete curbs and

and incidenta i items in conne-
ction widening and improving
of said part of L'. S. Highway
No. 84, in the City of Rusk.
Estimates of the costof^uch
imporvements have been pre-
pared and approved.
The portion of U. S. Highway
No. 84 to be improved together
with the estimated cost of the
improvement, and the amount
per front foot proposed to be
assessed against the abutting
property and the owners th-

or claiming such abutting pro-
perty, or any interest therein,
shall be and appear and will be
fully heard concerning said
improvements, the cost ther-
eof, the amounts tobe assess-
ed therefor, the benefits to the
respective parcels of abutting
by means of the improvements
on the portion of said street or
highway upon which said prop-
erty abuts, and concerning the
regularity, validity and suffi-
ciency of the contract for and
all proceedings relating to,
such improvements and prop-
osed assessments therefor,
and concerning any matter a^
:o which they are entitled to
hearing under the law in force
in the City of Rusk and under
the proceedings of the City of
Rusk with reference to such
matters. Following such hea-
ring asses>ments will be lev-
ied against the abutting prop-
erty and owners thereof, and
such assessments, when levi-
ed, sha'l be a personal liabil-
ity to the owners of such pro-
perty, and a first and prior
lien upon the property as pro-
vided by the law in force by
