died Saturday night at hia
home following a sudden
WINS BLUE RIBBON: Richard Singletary of Alto received a RIBBON WINNER: This holstein dairy cow was shown at the
blue ribbon in the Holstein Class I. heifer calves division at the East Texas Fair by Miss Linda Singletary of the Alto 4-H Club.
East Texas Fair. Richard is a member of the Alto 4-H Club. The animal earned a red ribbon for Miss Singletary in the Class
I. heifer calves division.
SHOWS CHAMPION: Robbie Parsons of Rusk displays a trophy
he received at the East Texas Fair Dairy Show recently in
Tyler. This brown swiss was named Reserve Grand Champion.
Robbie also received a blue ribbon in Class I, heifer calves.
Services were held Monday
afternoon at Oakland Baptist
Church. Rev. 0. P. Meador and
Rev. Don Copeland conducted
the final rites. Burial was in
Oakland Cemetery under the
direction of Wallace Funeral
Home.
Mr. Lloyd was a Security
Officer at Rusk State Hospital.
He was a member of the
Oakland Baptist Church and a
World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife,
Orene Lloyd of Rusk; three
brothers, Carl Lloyd, Emmett
Lloyd of Rusk and Lester Lloyd
of Dallas; four sisters, Ml—
Freddie Lloyd, Mrs. Bonnie
Sill of Rusk, Mrs. Jessie
Daniels and Mrs. Ruby Crooe,
both of Galena Park.
Nephews served as pallbear-
ers and were James Earl
Lloyd, Gary Lloyd, Mike
Taylor, Tony Taylor, Travis
Lloyd, Wayne Lloyd, Marvin
Lloyd and Charles Daniels.
Mrs. Clarissa Mayes and Mr.
and Mrs. Danny Smith visited
Sunday with Mrs. Mayes'
brother, H. A. Fox, a patient at
PAS Hospital ih Shreveport,.
Louisiana. Mr. Fox, a former
Rusk resident, is recovering
from surgery and is reported in
goodcoodition.
