Charges of possession of
less than four ounces of
marijuana have been filed
against three Cherokee
County men, according to
Sheriff Allen Horton.
Arrested were Bryan D.
Robinson, Rt. 3, Rusk;
David Watson, Rt. 4, Rusk;
and Kelvin W. Sims of
Jacksonvill Watson and
Robinson were released on
$500 bond from the county
jail. Sims is attempting to
make bond, Sheriff Horton
stated.
Watson and Robinson
were arrested Oct. 14 by
Deputy Sheriff Jimmy
Dickson and New Summer-
field Constable Buford
Gray. Sims was arrested
Oct. 19 by Chief Deputy
Kenneth Acker and Deputy
Dickson.
The trio will be tried in
Cherokee County Court.
VSC Sets
Meeting
Thursday
The Volunteer Services
Council, Rusk State Hos-
pital, will meet at noon
Thursday, Oct. 25, in the
Social Room of the Day
Treatment Center, accord-
ing to Bill Holland, VSC
chairman.
Meeting with the group
will be Dr. Robert S. Glen,
recently named super-
intendent of RSH.
The agenda for the
session will include plans
for projects of benefit to the
patients of RSH. Joe
Rozelle is coordinator of
the VSC.

Mrs. G.H. Thomas re-
turned Sunday from sev-
eral days at Tyler with her
family. Her great niece
Miss Melissa Boyd of Cor-
pus was one of the 1979
Rose Queen Dutchess. Mrs.

night Coronation. The

noon, the Rose Parade Sat-
