WINS AWARD FOR TEXAS-Elva O. Cook, com-
mander of the Rusk Disabled American Veterans
Ladies Auxiliary, won the award for signing up the
most number of new members for the organization.
She is the only person in Texas to win the award.

sponsor a dance Friday
evening at the American
Legion Hall in Rusk.
The dance will be held
from 8-12 p.m. for young
people high school age and
under.
Refreshments will be
served inside the hall.
