State Competition
Gina Price, 14, will be a
sophomore at Hende^on High
School next fall where ste has been
elected cheerleader, She is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Price of Henderson, formerly of
Rusk, the granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Price and the late E c
and Margaret Beckworth. She is the
niece of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Beck-
worth Jr. of Rusk.
June 6-8 she will participate in the
AFAF National Power Tumbling
•.v.v.w.v.
Meet in Amarillo. She qualified at
Regional, placing fourth.
In March she competed at the In-
termediate Gymnastics USGF
(Class II) Optional State Meet in
Houston. She tied for sixth place in
the Floor event.
She was picked one of the top 10
gymnasts at Bella Karolyi's Sum-
mer Camp.
During her past school year, she
also competed in track events and
qualified for Regional competition.

Guests in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Jeffr Lovelady for Memorial
Day weekend were their children,
Mack Lovelady of Vernon, Texas;
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miles, Wayne
and Nancy of Tyler; Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Lovelady, Melanie, Denise and
Jimmy of Lufldn. Sunday's dinner
was a special celebration to honor
Mrs. Lovelady on her birthday. The
grandchildren surprised her with a
beautiful cake. Also honored Sun-
day was the Loveladys' grandson,
Jimmy Lovelady, who graduated
May 31 from Lufkin High School.
