Funeral services for Loy
Darro Walter, 41, were held
Thursday, April 15, at 2:00
p.m., at Eubank Funeral
Chapel. Rev. Helen Harrison
officiated.
Mr. Walters passed away
April 13, in Dallas. He was a
member of the Brookhollow
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Mary Joyce Walters of
DeSoto; his son, Craig
Walters of Dallas; one
daughter, Miss Annett
Walters; one stepson, Michael
Monroe Bass of DeSoto and
his father, Leston L. Walters
of F risco.
Pallbearers were Basil
Barnes, Clarence Barnes, Jr.,
Reginald Settles, Jack
Cheatam, Russell Walker,and
Earl Tillery.

Clarence Shinn
Dies In Dallas
On April 15
Clarence E. Shinn, 46,
native of Myrtle Springs, died
at Dallas Medical and
Surgical Clinic Thursday,
April 15, following a brief
illness. Mr. Shinn was a
resident of Mesquite.
Funeral services were held
at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the
chapel of a funeral home in
Mesquite with Rev. Wiley
Dorman, pastor of Myrtle
Springs Baptist Church
officiating.
Fellow workers at Alford
Warehouse in Dallas, where
Mr. Shinn had been employed
for the past 28 years, served
as pallbearers.
Burial was at Myrtle
Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Shinn is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Barbara Ann Davis
Shinn of Mesquite; one
daughter, Mrs. Betty Diane
Little of Dallas; four sons,
Ricky and Randy Shinn and
Mark and Robert Massie, all
of Dallas; four
granddaughters; his mother,
Mrs. Ethel Smith of Myrtle
Springs; three brothers,
Kenneth Shinn of Bandera,
Gerald Shinn of Mesquite and
Richard Shinn of Myrtle
Springs; two sisters, Mrs.
Doris Barge of Dallas and
Mrs. Patsy Edwards of
Myrtle Springs and his
grandmother, Mrs. Emery
Waites, Myrtle Springs.
। A large number of friends
and relatives from the
Canton, Myrtle Springs and
Wills Point area attended the
funeral services.
