Rusk Girl Wins
Honors At Pageant
Amberly Benedict, five-year-old
daughter of Gaylon and Libby
Benedict of Rusk, competed in the
Blue Bonnet National Pageant at
the Sheraton Crown Hotel in
Houston over the Fourth of July
weekend.
Amberly competed with other
preliminary winners in the 4-6 age
division. She was high point winner
in both Talent and Pro-Am
Modeling. She was also named high
point winner for Sportswear and
Sleepwear She was runner-up in
Beauty.
In addition to her trophies,
crowns and banners, she also
received $130 in gift certificates
towards a location shoot with Con-
tinental Images. $300 scholarship to
Continental Images Acting and
Talent School for training in
television commercials, plus a $100
savings bond.
Amberly is the granddaughter of
Herbert and Betty Lewis of Rusk
and Darrell and Maureen Benedict
of Lake Palestine.
