There has been a whole lot of
shaking going on at Alto Care Cen-
ter in the past two weeks.
First of all, Ercelle Johnson cele-
brated her 91st birthday with a
dinner at her daughter Wanda
Marcus', farm house. Others who
attended included Wilma Hauser
from Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ray
Johnson, and Rena Brunt from Alto.
Fannie Clark celebrated her 93rd
birthday with a party at the care
center. Her family surprised her
with a birthday cake. Those who
attended included Earl and Jerry
Clark: from Conroe, Anthony and
Linda Clark from Bedias, and James
Clark from Jacksonville.
We had quite a few visitors this
past week that we would like to give
special recognition.
Jerry and Louise Mynard visited
Dena Mynard this past Friday, they
went out to eat and also went to vi sit
friends. Nancy Crosby visited Lois
Goff on Sunday. William and Sybil
Burt had a good visit with Edna
Burt.
Leonard and Ethel Chandler
decided to take advantage of the
good weather by taking Ora Chan-
dler for a drive. They also stopped
long enough to visit Arnold Ceme-
tery to see the new marker for tfcie
late Carl Chandler. Also joining the
outing was Laura McGilvary and
her husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Rayford West of
Lufkin visited Minnie Parish on Sat-
urday. We would like to thank all
the other visitors who took the time
to come out to visit loved ones but
were not mentioned.
Our deepest sympathies are ex-
tended to the loved ones of Ann
Conner. Ms. Conner passed away
on Monday, Feb. 3. She will be
greatly missed by the staff and resi-
dents.
The staff and residents also send
prayers to those who are in the
hospital, Alfred Willis and Helen
Seville.
There are a couple of new kids on
the block at Alto Care Center. OUie
Wendelborn comes to us from Rusk
and Ruthie Edison from Alto.
The care center is excited to
announce that Ty Black, great-
grandson of Girtie Miller, will be
singing at our Valentine's party on
Feb. 13. If you've never heard him
sing then come on out. Ty is sure to
make his hometown of Alto very
proud someday. The party will be-
gin at 5'p.m. '
The staff and residents wish you
happiness for the week to come and
hope to see you soon.
