Funeral for Jan Dominy, 53, of
Alto was at 10 a.m. Monday in the O.
T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel
i with the Rev. Bud Bonner, the Rev.
Keith Kassell and the Rev. Kelly
Lundy officiating. Burial was in the
Old Palestine Cemetery.
Mrs. Dominy was born Feb. 13,
1942, in Beaumont to ElvinW. and
Pam Collins Burris. She had resided
in Alto most of her life and previ-
ously lived in Lufkin. She was a
laboratory technician, a licensed
vocation nurse and a member of the
Cold Springs United Methodist
Church.
Survivors are her husband, Gary
Dominy of Alto; two sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Mike and Debra Dominy
and Brad and Anna dominy, all of
Alto; a daughter, Dawn Kimbrell of
Rusk; a sister, Pam Davis of Lufkin;
three grandchildren, Mitch Dominy,
' J an ah Dominy and Patrick Kimbrell,
all of Alto.
Pallbearers were John Davis, Billy
Darby, E. C. Daniels, George R. Wil-
liams, Billy Cates and Charles Mont-
gomery.
Ron Bamberg, John Grindle and
Buddy Roye served as honorary pall-
bearers.

Graveside services for Dale A.
Davis, 53, of Jacksonville, formerly
of Pasadena were at 2 p.m. Monday
in Ivie Cemetery in Houston county
with the Rev. Karl Hockenhuff offi-
ciating. Arrangements were under
the direction of Thompson Funeral
Home. Mr. Davis died Thursday in a
Marlin hospital.
He was born Aug. 3, 1941, in
Galveston and was retired from the
U.S. Navy after 22 years of service.
He was a Baptist and a member of
the Masonic Lodge in Baker, La.
Survivors are his former wife,
Jessie Davis of Houston; three sons
and a daughter-in-law, Darrel Allen
Davis of Pearland, Dale Allen Davis
II of Livingston and Daniel Allen
and April Eddy Davis of Jackson-
ville; his mother, , Leona Bilski of
Houston; three brothers and two sis-
ters-in-law, Philip Michael Davis,
Gale and Mary Davis, all of Pasa-
dena and Wayne and Kathy Davis of
Sardis; a sister and brother-in-law,
Betty and Jerry Kimes of The Wood-
lands; two granddaughters, and sev-
eral nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Carlean
Salmon Woody, 75, of Palestine were
at 3 p.m. Sunday at Guiceland Cem-
etery with the Rev. Fred Neel offici-
ating and Eastern Star graveside
rites conducted by the Tennessee
Colony Order of the Eastern Star.
Arrangements were under the di-
rection of Bailey and Foster Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Woody died Friday morning.
She was born July 10,1919, in Ander-
son County. She waB a homemaker
and a member of the Harmony Bap-
tist Church and the Tennessee
Colony Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Woody was preceded in death
by her husband, M.T. Woody in 1985.
Survivors are a daughter, Sylvia
Fraim of Cedar Creek Lake; three
sons, JackWoody of Harmony, Larry
Woody of Vadalia, La. and David
Woody of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters,
Myrtle Pierson and Ora Gore, both
of Elkhart, Jewel Gore of Kilgore
and Ethel Green of Palestine; a
brother, Walter Salmon of Elkhart;
11 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.

Jim McDonald
Funeral for Jim McDonald, 74, of
Reklaw, was at 1 p.m Tuesday at the
Anadarko Christian Church near
Laneville with the Rev. Robert Loftis
officiating. Burial was in the
Anadarko Cemetery under the di-
rection of Jenkins-Garmon Funeral
Home of Henderson.
Mr. McDonald died Friday in East
Texas Medical Center Rusk. He was
born Nov. 20, 1920, in Cherokee
County and lived most of his life in
Rusk County. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II and was a
retired self-employed logging con-
tractor. He was a member of the
Anadarko Christian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Lela
McDonald of Jacksonville; two
daughters, Barbara Davis of Jack-
sonville and Shirley Burks of Dal-
las; a son, Marvin McDonald of Dal-
las;'three brothers, Willie T.
McDonald of Hempstead, M. T.
McDonald of Nacogdoches and
Charles McDonald of San Diego,
Calif.; four sisters, Dorothy Hamp-
ton of Pine Hill, Catherine VanZandt
of Goodsprings and Margie Flanagan
and Bobbie J. Russo, both of Nacog-
doches.
Friends of the family served as
pallbearers.

Funeral for Tate McCann, 82, of
Jacksonville was at 1:30 p.m. Tues-
day in the Thompson Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Don Harvey
officiating. Burial was in Walker's
Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. McCann died Saturday in Nan
Travis Hospital. ,
He was born Oct. 19,19X2, in Long
Branch. He had lived most of his life
in the Jacksonville area and a U.S.
Army veteran ofWorld War II. Mr.
McCann was a farmer and a mem-
ber of the Cove Spring Baptist
Church.
Survivors are his wife, Johnnie
Louise McCann of Jacksonville;
three sons, the Rev. Don Harvey and
Harold Harvey, both of J acksonville
and Doug Harvey of Houston; a
daughter, Jo Ann Brantner of Jack-
sonville; a sister, Sarah Frances
Irwin of Reklaw; and several nieces
and nephews.
Pallbearers were Harold Harvey,
Doug Harvey, John Irwin, Byron
Irwin and Louis Finley.

Harmon, 72, of Rusk were at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at the Piney Grove Cem-
etery at Gallatin with the Rev. Don
Copeland officiating. Arrangements
were under the direction of Boren-
Conner Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harmon died Sunday in East
Texas Medical Center Rusk. She was
born Nov. 29, 1922, in Bastrop had
lived in Rusk for two years. She was
a homemaker and a Methodist.
Survivors are a son, J.E. Wilson
Jr. of Gonzales; three daughters,
Jeanne Parsons of Gallatin, Jerrie
Brown of New Summerfield and
Nelda Norwood of Pflugerville; three
sisters, Blanche Worthington of
Mount Pleasant, Dovie Lowden and
Beulah Martin, both of Bastrop; 11
grandchildren; five great-grandchil-
dren; and numerous nieces and neph-
ews.

Graveside services for Wilbur
Melison, 83, of Rusk were at 10 a.m.
Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with
the Rev. Jim Boone officiating. Ar-
rangements were under the direc-
tion of Wallace-Thompson Funeral
Home.
Mr. Melison died March 15 in a
Tyler hospital. He was born Sept.
19, 1911, in Lafayette, La. He had
resided in Rusk for several years.
He is survived by numerous
friends.
Lillian Wilson
Funeral for Lillian Etna Wilson,
89, of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Saturday
in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Don
Copeland officiating. Burial was in
Oak Grove Cemetery at Nacogdo-
ches.
Mrs. Wilson died March 16 in a
Rusk nursing home. She was born
Aug. 1, 1905, in Chickasha, Okla.
She moved to Rusk 28 years ago
from Del Rio. She was a housewife
and a Methodist. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Robert H.
Wilson in 1980.
Survivors are two sons and two
daughters-in-law, Roy and Sandra
Wilson of Arlington, Bob Wilson of
Rusk and Ella Dale Wilson of Del
Rio; a daughter and son-in-law,
Nancy and John Graf of Del Rio;
nine grandchildren; 12 great-grand-
children; and several nieces and
nephews.
Shane Dean Collin*
Funeral for Shane Dean Collins,
2, of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Monday in
the Wallace Thompson Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael
Helm and the Rev. Don Copeland
officiating. Burial was in Russell
Cemetery.
The child died Saturday night in a
Tyler hospital of ir\juries suffered
after being struck by an automobile
around 3:45 p.m. that day.
Rusk Police Chief Larry Robertson
said the child was injured after run-
ning into the path of a vehicle in the
1700 block of Daniels Street.
The child's mother and several
children were in the yard of a resi-
dence on Daniels Street when the
mother walked across the street to
visit with a neighbor. The youngster
followed her and a vehicle driven by
Mildred Cullom struck him. Wo
charges are being filed at this time,
Robertson said.
Investigating the incident were
City Patrolmen Keith Radcliff and
Roy Cavazoz.
The youngster was born Dec. 29,
1992, in Nacogdoches.
Survivors are his parents, Patty
and Terrell Collins of Rusk; four
brothers, Cress Collins of Jackson-
ville, Brandon Smith, Cody Smith
and Jacob Collins, all of Rusk; two
sisters, Angela Holcomb and Jenni-
fer Holcomb, both of Rusk; his grand-
parents, Virginia Sartain of Rusk
and Deanie Collins of Jacksonville;
great-grandparents, Marshall and
Irene Collins of Rusk and several
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Tommy Liles,
Jackie Yates, David Quimalty and
Troy Holloway.
Honorary pallbearers were Cress
Collins, David Sartain and Jay
Sadler.

Mrs. Hogg died Tuesday morning
in a Tyler hospital. She was born
May 18, 1915, in Rusk, where she
was reared and attended public
schools. She was a member of the
Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors are four daughters,
Marilyn Ragsdale and Linda
Freeney, both of Dallas, Genell Hicks
of Rusk and Ella Faye Berry of
Lancaster; two sons, William Lewis
Bradley of Los Angeles, Calif, and
Don L. Williams of Compton, Calif.;

grandchildren; 60 great-grandchil-
dren; and three great-great-grand-
children.
