Correction
The article “Student creates distinct major” in the Oct. 1
issue of the Hilltop Views should have said that Barbara
Filippidis, not Lisa Hernandez, is the women’s studies mi-
nor coordinator.

New SGA members inducted
St. Edward’s University Student Government Associa-
tion officially inducted all of its new senators and is ready
to govern. The new academic school and freshman sena-
tors were inducted Sept. 30 along with all other members
of the SGA.
President Martin spoke to remind the inductees of their
duties as SGA members.
"I hope that the Student Government Association will
continue developing leaders that will project influence
within their tenure here and beyond, maintain the missions
of Holy Cross, St. Edward’s and the Student Government
Association and most importantly, protect the interest of
the students,” Martin said.
A blessing from Father Rick Wilson concluded the in-
duction. The members then joined their families and fellow
SGA members to celebrate the event with refreshments.
“The induction went well and everyone had a lot of fun,”
Ginny Torok, SGA public relations director, said.
