A new sign and new name for a Rusk business. Russell Turner, owner of Boda-
cious Bar-B-Que has changed the business' name to All Star Bar-B-Que, which will
feature the same menu of barbecue items. Mr. Turner has opened his second store
in south Tyler on U. S. Highway 69 at the Whitehouse cut-off.

Todd Simpson of the Simpson Racing team had this car at more than 200 miles
per hour at Cherokee County Motor Sports Park near Rusk during Saturday May 8
action. This car set a record at the track for speed at 248 miles per hour covering the
quarter mile in 5.7 seconds. The Simpson team has won three funny car titles.

The Alto Lady Jackets rolled
to an II-0 win over Cénterville
in girls bi-district class 2-A
softball action Friday, May 7
in Crockett.
Alto, the undefeated champi-
ons of District 23-AA, had little
difficulty with Genterville,
Pitcher Ryan Thacker had 10
strikeouts to pace Alto while
allowing just two hits to the
Lady Tigers,
G'Undr a Skinner was the hit-
ting star, going three-for-four
with two extra base hits.
The Lady Jackets combined
flawless defense with steady
hitting to win the game in six
innings.
The Lady Jackets will now
play Franklin in the area round
of the playoffs.
