The Upper Cibolo Creek
Watershed Project is progress-
ing on schedule and a large
number of easements have
been secured from individual
landowners involved. There are
still more easements needed
before any work can be
started on construction. It is
hoped that all easements can
soon be cleared so that con-
struction could possibly be
started within the coming
year. When all easements are
cleared, the Soil Conservation
Service engineers will maka
drilling tests to determine
soils. Then final engineering
plans will be made before any
contracts can be let.
This project will consist of
three floodwater retarding
structures, to be completely
financed by the SCS, plus one
