Akers Funeral Chapel. Inter-
ment was in Sunset Memorial
Park, the Rev. D. Allen Cear-
ley officiating.

ler AFB, Miss., after complet-

funeral of Mr. Alton Graves
at Flatonia on Monday, July
24. Mr. Graves passed away
after a heart failure.
Miss Tammy Kneupper was
hurt while horseback riding
at her home last Saturday.
The doctor took 80 stitches
in her leg. She is at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ed-,
mondson went to Hondo to
visit Mr. and Mrs. Alex Muel-
ler Sunday. After lunch they
went on to Rio Medina to visit,
her uncle, Mr. Sebastian Evers
who was not at home. They

Racing fans . will welcome
the news that Lost Valley
Downs, located in Bandera,
Texas, will be operating under
completely new management
when post time arrives on
Aug. 19 and 20. Rudy Robbins,
a native Texan and graduate
of East Texas Baptist College
and a motion picture and tele-
vision personality, is assum-
ing the operation and man-
agement of Lost Valley
Downs, the largest track in
Texas. Mr. Robbins, who has
made many movies under the
direction of famed director,
John Ford, and who has ap-
peared in several John Wayne
movies including “Green Ber-
ets,” has instigated some wel-
come changes at Lost Valley
second prizes. Mrs. Alma
Waite and Mrs. Olivia Mar-
quardt will be hostesses Sep-
tember 6.

Army Pvt. Mark E. Musser,
18, son of Mrs. Ruth E. Weese,

Ft. Ord, Calif., where he is

Pvt. Musser began his train-

talion of the 1st Brigade on
