a full length gown of taffeta
and organza delicately trimmed
with white lace flowers and
pearls. The dress featured a
high neckline, sheer bouffant
sleeves that were fitted at the
wrist. The skirt fell softly into a
chapel-length train from the
fitted waistline. She wore a
fingertip veil decorated with
pearls which descended from a
lace and pearl cap. She carried
a cascade bouquet of yellow
roses, white daisies, and baby’s
breath. The bride also carried
her white baptismal Bible and
her mother’s Bible which were
both covered with satin and
lace.
Miss Anne Carol Gilmore,
the bride’s cousin,1 of Littleton,
Colorado. was the maid of
honor.
Kalum Lare Haack of
Hempstead, served as best
man. The ushers were Harvey
Robinson and the bride’s
brother, Joe Hegar.
Mrs. M. H. Schmidt
provided the nuptial organ
music.
For her daughter's wedding.
Mrs. Hegar selected a
rose-beige long skirt with a
matching flowered blouse. Mrs.
Hering wore a pink gown with a
matching jacket. Both wore
corsages of burgundy roses and
baby’s breath.
Immediately following the
ceremony, a reception was held
at the bride's parents' home.
The guests gathered on the
patio and throughout the
house. Expressing the joyful yet
tranquil mood of the occasion,
the swimming pool was
ornamented with magnolias
floating on top of the water.
The three-tiered square shaped
wedding cake, with a heart at
each corner. was decorated
with yellow roses and daisies
and was topped with an

Recipe Shower
Guest of Honor
Brenda Gallia was honored
with a recipe shower by her
grandmother, Mrs. John Owe-
zarzak, on June 14 at the K.C.
Hall in Wallis. Upon arrival.
Brenda was presented a daisy
corsage, accented with blue
ribbon and a miniature rolling
pin. The mothers. Mrs. Anton
Cerny and Mrs. George Gallia,
were also pinned with corsages.
Special guest was Melvin
Cerny, the groom-to-be. who
was pinned with a stephanotis
boutonniere.
The registration table, cover-
ed with a cut-work cloth, held
the bride's book and pen, and a
measuring cup and spoon tree.
The tree also held miniature
kitchen utensils. Annette Sulak
and Melinda Prazak assisted in
registering guests.
Games were played, after
which the hostess gave advice to
the engaged couple, causing
guite a few chuckles. ,
Each guest was asked to
bting a favorite recipe and an
ingredient. Laura Prazak.

gift was a recipe file. containing
a recipe for happiness and for a
good cook and a large
container filled with groceries.
Refreshments, which consist-

Mesdames Anne Prazak, Irene
Matej and Louise Sulak.
