Institute for 10 years, one year factory manager
of the Chevrolet Motor Division, and has been
the Chevrolet and Buick dealer in Navasota for
the past fifteen years.
KARL BUTZ, x- '26, 304 North Pecos, Fort
Stockton, Texas reports having attended St. Ed-
ward's from 1922 to 1924. He has two children,
Mary Ann Butz, now Mrs. Harry D. Grant, and
Karl Butz. Jr.
JOSEPH A. MENGER, x- '25, 107 Katherine
Court, San Antonio, Tex. , sent a letter to Bro-
ther Elmo concerning the new bus. Mr. Menger
was a member of the first class of college stu-
dents to enroll at St. Edward's. (1922)
LOUIS L. HERTENBERGER, '30, 415 Mc-
Nair, Navasota, Tex. , was line coach of Rice
RUBEN F. SILVA, '32, Box 155, Lott, Tex.,
is in business for himself, and while at St. Ed-
ward's was on the football squad in 1930, coach-
ed high school football in 1931, and belonged to
the Czech Club, the orchestra, and the glee
club.
THE NINETEEN TWENTIES
JOSEPH KOPECKY reports his address as
402 North Dowling St. , Hallettsville, Tex. He
attended St. Edward's between 1895 and 1898.
He has been in turn a teacher, a publisher, and
a city councilman. He has ten children, eighteen
grandchildren, and three great grandsons.
THOMAS J. DUFFY, JR., '38, lives at 209
E. 4th Street, Taylor, Tex. After leaving St.
Edward's, Mr. Duffy attended The University
of Texas.
DANIEL C. ENDOM, '34, reports his ad-
dress as 1417 Council Way, Calgary, Alberta,
Canada. He married the former Anna Catherine
Moser, Feb. 15, 1941 and has five children.
Mary Catherine, Patricia Anne, Daniel, Jr. ,
Jeanne Marie, and John. Mr. Endom attended
the Little Rock College, Little Rock, Ark., and
the Arkansas A. & M. While at St. Edward's,
Mr. Endom won the medal for the highest av-
erage in the School of Arts and Letters, and
played guard and center on the football team.
J. I. JAMES, '29, of Box 280, Eagle Pass,
Tex., is Superintendent of Schools of Eagle
Pass. While at St. Edward's he played football,
baseball, and basketball.
THE NINETEEN THIRTIES
HAROLD R. JANSING, '30, 1310 St. Cloud
Rd., San Antonio, Tex., received his B. A. in
Journalism in June, 1930. While at school he
was president of the Neo-Scholastic Society,
1929, editor of St. Edward's Echo, 1929-30;
awarded Charles B. Cook trophy for athlete hav-
ing the highest scholastic standing in years 1928,
1929, 1930. He received three honor positions
in the 1930 Tower, namely, most exemplary
student, best all-around athlete, and most pop-
ular student.
DR. FRANK M. WAGNER, who attended St.
Edward's from 1909 to 1913, now lives at Box
425, Shiner, Tex. Three sons of his attended
St. Edward's: John D., who graduated in 1951,
Patrick J. , who is presently attending St. Ed-
ward's, and Robert J. who attended from 1943 -
1944.
DEWITT C. DUNN, JR., '33, attended
Georgetown University, Washington, D. C., from
1929 to 1931, and received his L. L. B. from the
University of Texas in January of 1937. Mr.
Dunn lives at 2112 Bolsover St. , Houston. Tex.
KARL A. FUESS, x - '37, resides at 4212 -
44th Street, Lubbock, Tex.
CHARLES J. MARIK, '33, is living in In-
dustry, Tex. He attended St. Edward's from
1929 to 1933.
ELMORE H. BORCHERS,'28, 1402 Guerrero
St. , Laredo, Tex., says: "I think you have all
the 'dope' on me except perhaps that the Holy
Father on Nov. 28, 1954, conferred the Knight-
hood of St. Sylvester on me. "
WILLIAM O'LAUGHLIN, x - '32, reports
his address as P.O. Box 177, Miami, Texas.
He owns and operates a ranch near Miami. He
says, "I have not had any contact with any St.
Edw's ex-students since I left in the Spring of
'29. "
CLARENCE J. VOLLMER, x - '34, is an
electrical engineer employed by the Merrill
Electric Company in Cleveland, Ohio. His ad-
dress is 3281 Euclid Heights, Cleveland, Ohio.
