Yours EDS-ucationally,
that with confidence profess, The helpful art of memory”. It is seeing
new development and construction and feeling proud because it’s your Alma
Mater.
A REUNION is paying formal tribute to people who are responsible for the
success of our Association. It is cooperating with those who have the
job of making the Alumni group click during the coming year. It is cheering
on the team whose members have the job of winning the contest of educating
several hundred youth annually, and with the other hand conjuring physical
expansion while improving academic excellence.
A REUNION is meeting former friends for the first time in months, years,
decades or generations. It is toasting the health of friends that you had
no idea were still living. It is scrutinizing countenances to convince
yourself that the same number of years have made similar impressions upon
your own features but which you have studiously censored when analyzing

A REUNION is banqueting, and dancing, and laughing, and relaxing in a brief
respite from the "500" of life. It is bringing the past up to date while
living it up in the present.
A REUNION is visiting old settings that the skilled human hand has only
been able to change in accidentals. It is breathing the clean air character-
istic of the region with its distinctive aromas; an air with no strong
odors but with a feel as much as an olfactory acquaintance. It is seeing
cedar trees, and bare hills, and limestone roads, and barbed fences, and
A REUNION is meeting former teachers you have not seen in years, and maybe
meeting for the first time where both are in the same category. It is
talking with new teachers and officials. And for those of us who have not
become scholars, it is an association with erudition in the arena instead
of from a seat in the auditorium.
