The Lesters
The Lesters from St. Louis, Mo. will sing at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the
Eastside Baptist Church. Often called St. Louis' First Family of Gospel Music
they have shared the word of God through song for four generations. With
more than a 80 year history and numerous albums behind them, they bring
the third and fourth Lester generation to the stage. They are led by longtime
performer Brian Lester, who has been singing with the family since age four.
His sister, Ginger Pitchers, is also a lifelong performer, having recorded
for the Lesters when she was two. Jonathan Lester, Brian's son, is a fourth
generation singer. The fourth singer is Evan Pitchers, son of Dan and Ginger
Pitchers. Sound tech is Dan Pitchers, who has been with the group more
than 25 years.
7-year-old boy air-flighted
after horseback riding injury
A seven-year-old Rusk boy
was injured in a horse rid-
ing accident at 12:36 p.m.
Friday.
Dylan Mabry, son of Can-
dis and Ryan Mabry, was
horseback riding with his
friend Kilt Dement when
the accident occurred.
Dyan's horse slipped and
fell on him.
Rusk Volunteer Fire De-
partment and East Texas
Medical Center Emergency
Medical Service responded
to the scene of the accident
on CR 2323 off FM 752.
Dylan was airflightedfrom

brothers, Chad Lewis of

a.m. each day through June.
All school offices will be closed July 5 through 9. During the month of July, all
offices will be open Monday through Thursday but will be closed on Fridays.
