BELTON, Tex. (AP)—A Fort
Worth attorney is in Bell County
jail today following Dist. Judge
James K. Evett’s ruling that he
was in contempt of court Tuesday.
Attorney Jack Mackin was sen-
tenced to 72 hours in jail when
his client, Milton Kitchens of Fort
Worth, jumped bond Tuesday dur-
ing his trial. Evetts also fined
Mackin $10.
Kitchens was on trial for the
Dec. 9 burglary of the Gibson
Discount Store in Temple.
Mackin. 36, and James Russell
Clardy have been indicted for
murder in Fort Worth in connec-
tion with the Aug. 4 slaying there
of Clarence Louden, 26.
