DEAR AL: There are no statistics oe the subject, but it is my
observation that when a woman bets with a man, and lews,
she will offer to pay, but the man, not wishing to accept money
from a woman, usually says, "Oh, forget it"

DEAR SEE: You know your husband better than I da, and if
you "see the signs,” don't ignore them. Tell your husband that
since this woman means nothing to him he should tell her that he
is married to a jealous, possessive old witeh (that's you!) and to
order to preserve the pence at home he can't provide her with
transportation any more. Period. She probably won't ever epeak
to you again, but as long as she quits speaking to your husband,

DEAR ABBY: Two weeks ago we took our beautiful little 10-1
year-old daughter to a doctor and he said she had leukemia. We
didn't want to believe him so we took her to another doctor, and he
said the Mme thing. Abby, our world has fallen apart. Our daughter
may live a year, maybe less, but the doctors say not longer I
don’t-want to tell my parents. It would just kill them. I know
they will have to know some time, but I want to spare them all I
can. It's bad enough that our hearts are broken. My husband says
I am wrong, that I should tell my mother right sway. What should
I do. Abby? BROKENHEARTED MOTHER
DEAR HEARTBROKEN: Your husband is right, dear. Tell
your mother. You need the support now of those who levs you.
Heartaches shared are somehow more bearable.
Get it off your chest. For a personal, unpublished reply, write
to ABBY, Box 3365, Beverly Hills, Calif. Enclose a stamped, self-
addressed eavelope. •____________________________
