The Johnson County
Genealogical Society
“The Old Soldiers of Johnson County” will be the topic of a
presentation at this month’s meeting of the Johnson County
Genealogical Society, Thursday (June 13) at 6:30 p.m. in
the meeting room at the Cleburne Public Library.
The speaker will be Paul Martin, a docent at the Texas Civil
War Museum in Fort Worth and the author of a book on this
subject. He is a seventh-generation Texian and a descen-
dant of Collin McKinney, one of the signers of the Texas
Declaration of Independence.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
