4 eggs, beaten
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Pour boiling water over 2 cups
cereal. Cream sugar and short-
ening; add eggs. Add buttermilk
alternately with remaining
cereal and dry ingredients. Add
cereal mixture. Place in muffin
tins. Bake for 20 minutes at
375°. Will keep in refrigerator
for 3 weeks. Freezes well.
Yield: 4 dozen muffins.

1/2 pasteurized process
American cheese
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sliced pitted ripe
olives
20 whole canned green
chilies (milk)
20 strips Cheddar cheese
Brown beef and onion in frying
pan. Drain off fat and add
processed cheese, milk, chopp-
ed green chilies (drained),
and salt.
Spread whole chilies open so
they can be filled and arrange
in bottom of baking pan. Fill
chilies with meat sauce. Top
each with a strip of Cheddar
cheese and sprinkle with
sliced olives.
Bake uncovered in 350 degree
oven for 7-10 minutes or until
cheese on top is slightly melted.
