upon the services of your
county emergency medical ve-
hicle and staff. The medical
team of John Ebner and Har-
old Skeels took me to Meth-
odist Hospital, where I was
admitted to the emergency
ward. I was patricularly im-
pressed by the extremely car
pable medical attention I re-
ceived from Mr. Ebner and
Mr. Skeels.
Although we later found
that my problems were not
as serious as we suspected,
the fact remains that they
might have been. It was the
first time I had given any
serious thought to the prob-
lems faced by persons in small
towns or rural areas in get-
ting to a hospital in an emer-
gency. This would be a par-
ticularly severe problem in
the case of elderly persons
who live alone. I feel certain
that many serious illnesses or
accidents would result in un-
