first regular meeting Monday
night at 7 p.m. in the high school
auditorium.

meeting and Molly McMillan

Dues were collected and year
books distributed. There are
approximately 62 members in
the organization this year.
Carol Bond gave the devot-
ional on “Happiness” and a skit
was presented by Sandra Young.
The program was presented
by Gayion Maddox, assisted by
all the new freshmen members.
After adjournment, refresh-
ments were served in the Tea-
cher’s Lounge.

Club Installs
New Officers
The Cooper Health Careers
Club met Thursday evening,
September 16, in the music
room of the Cooper Elemen-
tary building for a joint install-
ation service with the Paris
Health Careers Club.
Installed as officers of the
Cooper club by Mrs. J. L.
Clifford, R. N., were Debra
Gunter, president; Donna Howse
vice-president; Donna Holliday,
secretary-treasurer; Rachel
Young, parliamentarian; and
Oscar Janes, Chaplain.
Focal point of the install-
ation service, was a table laid
in white accented with a blue
streamer, and burning white
tapers forming a background
for “Barbie and Ken” dolls
dressed as Health Career pro-
fessionals - doctor, nurse, x-
ray technician, interne, O. R.
nurse.
Miss Gunter presided, wel-
comed guests and discussed
plans for the year.
Dr. J. L. Clifford, Radiol-
ogist of Paris, spoke to the
delegation on the topic, “Ser-
vice to Others”.
