Parents Day, the annual event
designed to better acquaint par-
ents with the university their
sons and daughters attend.
The visiting parents will be
involved in a number of activi-
ties during the day, ranging
from listening to an address by

Sam Houston State football game
that night.
The guests will register from
1-4:30 p.m. in the Founders
Lounge of the Memorial Student
Center. Lunch will be from
11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the MSC
cafeteria. Various receptions
will be held from 2-3:45 p.m.
President Halladay's address
will be delivered to a general
assembly from 3:45 to4:30 p.m.
in the Texas Ballroom of the
MSC. Parent may attend a buf-
fet at Watson Cafeteria from
5-6:30 p.m. Following the foot-
ball game a dance will be held
in the ballroom of the Memorial
Student Center.

Delta County Savings Bonds
Committee, reported that sales
of Series E and H United Sta-
tes Saving Bonds in this county
totaled $1,382 during July.Sales
for the first seven months were
$18,819 for 47 percent of the
1971 sales goal of $40,000.
July sales in Texas amounted
to $16,810,210 compared to $15-
454,922 during the same period
in 1970 - an increase of 8.7
percent. Year-to-date sales
were $118,726,731, while 1970
sales totaled $106,206,174 for an
increase of 11.7 percent.
National sales during the
month were $458 million - 16.3
percent above 1970 July sales.
Sales for the seven-month per-
iod totaled $3,243 million - 17.4
percent above a year earlier.
Exchanges of Series E for Ser-
ies H. Bonds amounting to $151
million were reported for the
first seven months of 1971 com-
pared to $146 million exchanged
in 1970.

Day Saturday, September 25,
will find walking the campus
much easier than it has been
in recent years.
For the first time in five
years,the campus is virtually
construction free. The uni-
versity’s five-year, $16 million
building program is about to
draw to a close, helping eli-
minate the hopping over ditches,
lumber, and pipes that parents
have done in the past.
As an end result of the con-
struction, and with a master
beautification plan almost com-
pleted, parents will be viewing
the most beautiful ETSU campus
they have seen in recent years.
Approximately 1,200 to 1,400
parents are expected for
