Dragons in her teen

after moving to Texas
and then later in life
with World of Warcraft.

Watson died July 7,
2016, in Denver, Colo.,
surrounded by loved
ones after losing her
fight with cancer. She
was 52.
Haleigh was born on
July 8,1963, in Atlanta,
Ga., to her parents,

Darren and Theresa

Melba Catchings and
their children, Katrina,
Eliza and Austin Catch-
ings; grandparents-in-

great grandparents-in-
law, Stella Hibbs; sister,
Andrea Hurst and hus-
band, Matt and their
children, Katelynn Ben-
son and husband, Tyler,
place on Aug. 20, 2016,
at 10 a.m. at the Elgin
Funeral Home. All are
welcome to attend and
celebrate Haleigh Wat-
son’s life. After the me-
morial there will be a
lunch at Jalisco Mexi-
can Restaurant in
Elgin.

unexpected accident, a
much-needed surgery or

age 74, of Elgin, passed
away Thursday, July 18,
2016, at her home.
Gloria was born
March 24,1942, in Har-
ris County, Texas, to
Elwin Doud and Ruby
Thomas.

Carolyn Handy, 63, of
Houston, formerly of
Elgin, Texas, passed
away Wednesday morn-
ing, Aug. 17, 2016.
A Celebration of Life
will be conducted at
Mount Moriah Mission-
ary Baptist Church at
11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug.
23, with the Reverend
Isaiah Thomas officiat-
ing.
Inurnment will be pri-
vate.
Arrangements and
care are entrusted to

College, where she met
Hans Watson. They mar-
ried on June 12,1989.
The Watsons’ first
child, Claire, was born
on Sept. 9, 1989. The
Watson family then
moved to San Antonio,
where they had their
second daughter, Scar-
lett, on July 21,1993.
Haleigh was a loving
wife and mother who
