rosy missions, was guest speaker
Monday when the United Coun-
cil of Church Women convened
at the First Christian church.
Mr. Eisenbise stated that 10,-
000,000 people in the world are

His mission work covers the
Southwestern area, which in-
cludes Arkansas, Louisiana, New
Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas
with headquarters in Dallas. Mr.
Eisenbise frequently visits the

ville, La.
Declaring that there is a great
opportunity to spread the gospel
among the sufferers, the speaker
made an urgent plea for funds
to help patients further by
stamping out the disease.
The Rev. H. D. Morgan, pastor
of the First Christian church, in-
troduced the lecturer, who has
done refuge work in Shanghai
under the Brethren Service com-
mittee and in co-operation with
the Friends Service council of
London. In addition, he has
served as placement secretary
for the European refugees in Cal-
ifornia and as a unit director of
an Arab refugee relief program
in Palestine.
Mrs. J. D. Snellgrove of Wha-
ley Memorial Methodist church
presented the devotional lesson.
“Spiritual Housecleaning'” was
the title of her talk, taken from
Psalms 19:12-14.
Accompanied by Mrs. Hugh
Barnhart, Lucy Ann Pitman and
