WEDNESDAY MORNING, SEPTEMBER 19, 192d.
When your
Children Cry
for It ■
Ruby has little upsets at times.
All your care cannot prevent them.
But you can be prepared. 'Then you
can do what any experienced nurse
would do — whet most physicians
would tell you to do—give a few
drops of plain Csstoris. No sooner
done then Baby is toothed: relief
is just a matter of momenta. Yet
you hsve eased your child without
use of a single doubtful drug; Cas-
toria is vegetable. So it’s safs to
uss as often as an infant haa any
little pain you cannot pat away. And
it’s always ready for the cruder
panga of eolie, or constipation, or
diarrhea; effective, too, for older
children. Twenty-five million bottles
were bought last year.

Diavolo Coal
ONCE AGAIN, great trainloads of Diavolo Coals are daily /
leaving the mines in all directions, for delivery to the Diavolo Coal
dealers who serve so many thousands of Western families., •
Long strings of freight cars loaded with heat, comfort and
fuel economy I For to those who use Diavolo Coals year after year
and KNOW them, these famous coals represent the utmost in
cleanliness, long-lasting heat and low fuel cost.
That more Diavolo Coals are used yearly by Western people
than any other two brands combined is due to their quality and to
the great demand by coal users for these superior Colorado coals.
Diavolo Coals are better, first, because Nature made them so..
Modern, scientific mining and preparation add the final touch, in-
suring the utmost in coal value — for Diavolo Coals are hand picked
or washed of impurities at the mines, before shipment Thus you
get ALL COAL.
Diavolo Lump Coals are branded in paint, as shown above, on
a generous number of lumps in each ton. Diavolo Nut size has the
trademark bottle-stopper cardboards scattered thru the coal. This
trademark is your assurance of the genuine. Look for it.

THE SUNDAY PBOGBAM
Amarillo, Texas. Sept. 10, 1028.
To the Amarillo Daily Nows,
Amarillo, Texas.
Gentlemen i At ths Sunday morn-
ing services of Tabernacle Baptist
church the resolution given below was
unanimously passed and a request
came that It be submitted to The
News for publication for ths reason
that the News and Globo have been
announcing that all the churches of
Amarillo will dismiss their services
next Sundsy night snd sttsnd a joint
service at the fairgrounds:
The Resolution
“Inasmuch as our poster has boon
severely criticised for his uncompro-
mising stand in refusing to dismiss
the services of Tabernacle Baptist
church in order to attend a point serv-
ice at the fairgrounds on the night of
September 23, 1928, I move you that
the church go on roeord by a standing
vote as endorsing his position, that
the world may know thst we are 100
per cent in favor of conducting our
service et the church on that night
as we believe it is the will of God.”
A standing vote was taken and
every member of the church present
stood. Then all visitors who en-
dorsed the stand taken were asked to
stand and it was prscticsily unsni-
mous.
Since it has been announced sev-
eral times through the columns of
the Amarillo News-Globe that all the
churches of Amarillo will dismiss
their services at thst time, it was re-
quested thst a copy of the resolution
be submitted to them with the re-
quest that it be published.
Let it be understood that Taber-
nacle church Is spesking for itself
only and not trying in any way to in-
fluence other churches and pastors.
Our position is that the church of
Jesus Christ is the greatest institu-
tion on the face of the earth and if
the fair wants to co-operate with the
churches we believe that it should
hsve closed all its program for the
entire day and ths people be re-
quested to attend the church services
st their own meeting places.
Very truly yours.
J. C. SISEMORE, Psstor.
