Waco, Texas—The State Depart
meat of Agriculture of Texas has con-
ferrod an honor and distinction upon
the Texas Cotton Palaeo Exposition
that will cause the fame of that ex-
position to become nation-wide in ite
scope. «
The State Department of Agricul-
ture has selected the Cotton Paines an
the only place in Texas for a collosal
exhibition of agricultural products of
all kinds. The second largest build-
ing on the grounds has been turned
over to the State authorities, who
make the assertion that they will
have it filled to overflowing with a
variety of exhibits that have never
before been seen by the farmers of
Texas. It is declared that nothing
like it or on such a comprehensive
scale has ever been attempted by any
State in the South.
Fruits, grains, foodstuffs and every
article that is raised in Texas will
be shown in rich array. Expert lee-
turers will be present to explain to
the visitors the best methods of pro-
teeing paying crops.

With our children it’s differ-

old for mof physic simply don't
realize what they do. The chil-
dren's revolt is well-founded.
Their tender little "insides" are
injured by them.
If your child's stomach, liver
and bowels need cleansing, give
only delicious “California Syrup
of Figs." Its action is positive,
but gentle. Millions of mothers
keep this harmless “fruit laxa-

fails to clean the liver and bow-

and that a teaspoonful given to-

Bryan, fTexas, Oct. IS.— Brazos
county went dry in the local option
election Monday by a majority of
48 with all boxes heard from.
There were no especial incidents
to the campaign. The main issue
was that the county ought to be vot-
ed dry because of the A. and M..
Cottage of Texas, and on this line
most of the campaign work was pit-
ched. It was a quiet election all
the way through.
Brazos county has never voted on
the question as a local option issue
before. The last expression was in
the statewide election when the
county went anti by about 180 ma-

With a shortage of beef cattle fee-
ing the world, a new meat supply is
imperative, and it is up to the rabbits
to moot the situation.
The State Department of Agricul-

of the agricultural exhibits and food
preparation at the Texas Cotton Pal-
ace Exposition, is going to give a
series of rabbit cooking demonstra-
tions during the exposition from No-
