"The weather man," B. B. Gnagey.
meteorologist of Western Air Expresa,
made another of his interesting talks ,
before the American Business Club
Friday, the feature of a splendid
program.
Mr. Gnagey hae appeared before '
several of the eivie clabe since be-
iag assighed to the southwest quar-
ter of the United States to aid p:
lots of passenger plane lines a abort
time ego- He is one of the eountr‛‛s
beat meteorologists, having been ed-
N . neated and trained by the govern-
-ment.
Modern instruments and advanced
knowledge of seienee will finally
. eliminate delaye on airways be-
cause of storms snd unfavorable
weather, Mr. Gnagey said. because
it will be possible to so direct pi-
lots by radio that they can fly away
from the path of storms with only
short delays.
“A pilot coming toword Amarillo
from Albuquerque, N. M., a day or
two ago reported storm clouds over
the Estancia valley," Mr. Gnagey
raid. “We directed him to kill a
little time while we cheeked by long-
distance telephone. We found the
southern pass clear and directed him
to it. He came through without any
threat of trouble."

as of chief importance. He also enu-
merated the organisation of three

Among civic activities, he mentioned
