Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Poteet, and
was married September 22, 1912,
to George Rufus Boyd, who sur-
vives her. Mrs. Boyd was a mem-
ber of the East Henderson street
Baptist church.
Besides her husband, she is sur-
vived by one daughter, Mrs. V. H.
Jones, Cleburne; six brothers, H.
J. Anthony and Tommy Poteet
both of Kennedale; Sherman Po-
teet of Dallas; Ed Poteet of On-
tario, Calif.; Robert Anthony of
West Virginia; and Carl Amthony
of Orange. Five sisters, Misses
Blanche Poteet, Annie Bell Po-
teet, Mrs. Berry B. Anderson and
Miss Johnnie Anthony, all of Cle-
burne, and Mrs. A. T. Carter of
Houston.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd
will be held today at 2:30 p. m
at the Dillon Funeral Home chapel
with Rev. C. C. Evans and Rev.
Browning Ware officiating. Inter-
ment will be in the Cleburne ce-
metery.

Haffner studied for two years at
Southwestern Junior College in
Keene. He. has also attended Un-
ion College in Lincoln, Neb. two
vears and will receive his B. A.
degree from that school at the end'

Farmers Shorted
WASHINGTON (UP)— Secre-
tary of Agriculture Ezra T. Ben-
son believes farmers are not get-
ting a “fair share” of the na-
tion’s “record prosperity.”
Benson, addressing a meeting
of the American Agricultural Edi-
tors Association, said farmers
national income by balancing
production and improving mar-
keting methods. But he said “we
will not get it out of government
price-fixing, and we never have.”
Benson told the editors Friday
he will ask Congress to repeal
current price support formulas
for major crops, but added that
“any far-reaching changes in
