Hon. W. W. Turney, being called on
last saturday at the cattlemen’s meet-
ing, made an unanswerable argument
infavor of maintaining the quarantine
line, showing how its abolition would
result in the ruin of the cattle industry
in all of west and northwest Texas. If
a man owns nothing more than a milch
cow he is interested in keeping out the
ticky cattle.
Sealed proposals will be received
until Jan. 20, 1903, at my office in Fort
Davis, Texas, for doing the carpenter
work on the new Public School building
to be erected in said town, according
to the plans and. specifications of the
same on file and for inspection in my
office. All material will be furnished
by the Trustees. Bids will be opened
on above date. The Trustees reserve
the right to reject any and all bids.
