LORAIN, Ohio (UPI) — High
school football coaches may be
missing a lot of gridiron talent by
ignoring the coeds, says Ivan P
Lambert, a public school psychol-
ogist.
Girls are in better physical con-
dition to play football at the ages
of 16 and 17 than boys are, ac-
cording to Lambert. Their muscles
develop earlier and their joints are
"smoothed off" at the 16-year lev-

He didn't advocate, however,
that girls take up football.
and more anglers working off the
Texas Coast. Reports coming in
seem to indicate that determined
fishermen should be a b l e to go
home with something—if he tries
hard enough.
Party boats out of Galveston
and Freeport have been reporting
very good catches. Snapper, king-
fish and ling have been hitting
with some of the best action com-
ing from the 12-fathoms vicinity.
The Gulf has been near-perfect
for off-shore boats this week and
should contimue good over the
week-end.
Kings 10 to 20 pounds and snap-
per up to 20 pounds are being
caught by boats out of Freeport
in large numbers. A good number
of ling and tarpon also have been
sighted around the New River
Bar.
